Walworth County

Walworth County is transitioning from an agricultural and tourism-based economy into a diverse mix of tourism, retail, manufacturing and agri-based companies. It is home to the Whitewater Campus of the University of Wisconsin, which is nationally recognized as a leader in information technology; Gateway Technical College; and George Williams College. Given its natural beauty, rolling hills and more than two dozen sparkling lakes, Walworth County offers a wealth of recreational choices, including hiking, biking and golfing.

The sandy beaches, resorts and boutique shops have made Lake Geneva and surrounding communities a tourist mecca since the 1880s and they remain a popular summer destination for Chicago residents.
