Sports
Whatever your choice in sports - and whether you’re looking to watch or play - the Milwaukee Region has an event for you. The seven-county region is home to at least one professional event for almost every major sport - golf, baseball, basketball, hockey and auto racing. Football fans can travel north approximately two hours to historic Lambeau Field to see the Green Bay Packers in action during the fall.
Major recent investments have been made in the region’s sporting facilities, including Miller Park, the home of the Milwaukee Brewers professional baseball team; and the Milwaukee Mile, the oldest continuously operating motor speedway in the world. The UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena is home to the the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers basketball team, Milwaukee Admirals hockey team and Milwaukee Wave soccer team. The new $525 million Fiserv Forum serves as the home court for Milwaukee Bucks and Marquette Golden Eagles college basketball. The arena opened in time for the 2018-19 NBA season and is expected to spur an additional $500 million in entertainment, residential and office development.
