Printing

Already known as one of the nation's premier printing centers, southeastern Wisconsin is evolving into “the Silicon Valley of Printing,” a nationwide hub for training, education and innovation.

Located near extensive timber and paper mill industries, commercial printers employ more than 15,000 people locally. Quad/Graphics, headquartered in Sussex, is the second-largest printer in North America and has print-production facilities as well as other support locations throughout southeast Wisconsin, North America, Latin America and Europe. The region's printers are supported by advanced diploma and certificate training programs at Waukesha County Technical College.

The Harry V. Quadracci Printing and Graphics Center, a 50,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility located at Waukesha County Technical College, serves as a national hub for technical education and technological innovation in printing and graphic arts. A new 23,000-square-foot Applied Technology Center supports product testing, applied research, technical training, industry seminars and national conferences.
