Italian die casting manufacturer, Bruschi SPA is launching its North American operations on the northwest side of Milwaukee at 8050 N. Granville Woods Road.

Based in Milan, Bruschi was founded in 1948. The company produces parts for automotive, telecommunications and household device applications.

"We are proud to call Wisconsin the new home for our company's first North American manufacturing facility. This investment is key to serving our growing U.S. customer base. The Milwaukee region's manufacturing assets, specifically the production talent and supply chain, were important factors in our decision to locate here," Bruschi USA CEO Roberto Marselli said in a press release.

Marselli added in a phone interview that the Milwaukee area has a rich history in tool making that prompted the company to house its first North American facility in Milwaukee. Bruschi purchased the facility in March.

The Milwaukee facility, which is 22,000 square feet, will employ around 25 people. Globally the company has about 120 employees.

Bruschi expects to begin operations by the end of 2019. According to Bruschi's website, the North American facility will bring the company's vacuum technology into zinc die casting.

"Milwaukee continues to be a destination for global capital investment," M7 vice president Jim Paetsch said in a press release. "European companies quickly recognize what our homegrown manufacturers have know for decades: our business climate is favorable for producers and our manufacturing workforce is skilled and motivated."
